why i founded plugpress
from a single divi plugin in 2018 to a small studio building tools for wordpress and beyond.
my name is fahim reza. i live in dhaka, and i’ve spent the last seven years writing wordpress software. plugpress is what those seven years built.
the intention has always been simple: help the small businesses and creative people who try to do everything with wordpress — and need software that respects their time. that’s the whole idea.
how it started
in 2018 i started divipeople because i was a divi user with a list of small daily frustrations and no tools that solved them well. the first plugin scratched one itch. the second came from another. the third from another. that approach — solve a real, small problem and ship it cleanly — turned into a suite of plugins now used on 100,000+ divi websites.
a few years later, divitorque grew out of the same instinct: this time aimed at designers and agencies pushing divi further. today it powers another 70,000+ sites with 60+ modules and many extensions. cf7mate followed for the contact form 7 community.
the family today
plugpress sits inside a small family called dotyard, our parent company. that’s where my flagship products live too:
- inbees — a shared inbox to help teams (including ours) handle customer and fan support in one calm place.
- outbees — broadcasts, email marketing, lead generation. the outbound side of the conversation, made simple.
- mailyard and formyard round out the line with transactional email and forms.
it’s a small portfolio on purpose. less but better is the only way to ship things that actually feel good to use.
the long road
i’m not here to build the biggest thing in the wordpress economy. i’m here to build software that holds up — quiet, careful, and useful for a long time. if that sounds like the kind of tools you’d want, you’re in the right place.
