# What Is Mailyard Pro?

**Mailyard Pro adds broadcast email to Mailyard**: write an email in a visual editor, choose who receives it, and send. Track opens and clicks once it's on its way.

Mailyard Pro is the paid campaigns tier of the free [Mailyard](https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailyard/) plugin and requires it. The division of labor is simple: **Mailyard owns delivery** (Amazon SES, Postmark, Resend, Brevo, or SMTP, with smart failover), **Mailyard Pro owns campaigns**. The sender is inherited from Mailyard, broadcasts are routed on Mailyard's marketing stream, and bounces reported by Mailyard automatically feed Pro's suppression list.

- **List hygiene** — suppression list, automatic unsubscribe and bounce handling, and one-click unsubscribe (RFC 8058) keep your sender reputation clean.

- **Subscriber management** — CSV import with automatic column mapping, groups, search and filters.
- **Batch sending** — large lists go out in batches via Action Scheduler for reliable delivery.
- **Brand settings and customizable footer** — company name, address, logo, and unsubscribe links, all configurable.

## One dashboard

With current free Mailyard, Mailyard Pro doesn't add a second admin menu — Campaigns, Contacts, and Marketing settings live inside Mailyard's own dashboard as a Marketing group, sharing the same look and feel.

## Do I have to use Mailyard?

Yes — Mailyard Pro is Mailyard's campaigns tier and requires the free plugin. Mailyard handles delivery, failover, and bounce reporting; Pro reads its configured sender and shows its active provider. There are no runtime license checks: features work whenever free Mailyard is active.

## What happens to my data if I deactivate?

Your campaigns, contacts, and groups stay in the database — reactivate and everything is still there. Permanently removing all data is an explicit action, never a side effect.
