What is Saddle for WordPress?
Fahim Reza Saddle is a free WordPress plugin. It connects an AI app you already use, like Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, to your site, so you can ask for a change in plain words and it happens. It writes posts, builds pages, adds photos and keeps to your theme's own look, and everything it makes stays editable in WordPress afterwards. It starts read-only, checks what the app is allowed to do before every change, and logs each step so you can review it. It runs on your own site, and your login details never leave WordPress. The way it works is called MCP, the standard AI apps use to connect to outside tools. Saddle is a WordPress MCP server, but you never have to think about that to use it.
Why is it called Saddle?
Fahim Reza A saddle is what lets you ride a horse. You do not overpower the animal. You get a proper seat, and you hold the reins. That is the idea here. AI is strong and getting stronger, and this is the thing that lets you put it to work on your site without letting go of it.
Does Saddle give AI full control of my site?
Fahim Reza No. When you install it, the AI can only read. It can look at your site and change nothing. You decide if it may write, and you can take that back whenever you like. Before anything is deleted or written over, it shows you exactly what would change and waits for you to say yes. Nothing is ever removed in one step, and every change it makes is written down so you can see what happened.
Which AI apps work with it?
Fahim Reza Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Gemini CLI all have ready-made setup. You copy one line and paste it into the app. Most other AI apps work too. The key Saddle hands out only opens Saddle itself, so an app cannot reach the rest of your site with it, and you can cut it off at any time.
What does the free version include?

The free version writes posts and pages, handles photos, builds real layouts you can still edit by hand, keeps to your theme's colours and fonts, and checks its own work before you publish. Nothing is locked and nothing nags you to upgrade. Pro is only worth it if your site is built with Divi 5. It adds Divi modules, loops, the Divi Library and the Theme Builder.
