Connect Loggle to WooCommerce and Freemius

Loggle tracks visitors the moment you activate it. To see revenue next to those visitors, you need to connect a source of payments.

There are three ways money reaches Loggle. Most sites only need the first.

Counting wins that aren’t payments? Signups, trials, and thank-you pages are custom goals — counted separately, with no code to add, so they can never blur into your verified revenue.

Connect WooCommerce

There is nothing to configure. If WooCommerce is active, Loggle records orders automatically.

Here is what happens behind the scenes:

  1. A customer places an order. Loggle quietly notes which visitor they are.
  2. The payment completes. Loggle records the order total against that visitor.
  3. If the order is later refunded, Loggle records a matching negative amount.

The two-step approach matters. Payment confirmations often arrive from the payment provider’s server, where no browser cookie exists. By noting the visitor at checkout, Loggle can still connect the payment to the right person.

Check it is working

  1. Place a small test order, or use an existing recent order.
  2. Open the Loggle dashboard.
  3. Look at the Revenue figure for today.

Tip: refunds appear as separate negative entries. The original sale is never edited, so your history stays honest.

Connect Freemius

This is for plugin and theme developers selling through Freemius.

  1. Open Loggle → Settings (the gear icon).
  2. In the Revenue card, expand the Freemius row below the WooCommerce status.
  3. Enter your Developer ID, API public key, and API secret key. Each field says exactly where in the Freemius dashboard its value lives.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Your products load automatically. Tick the ones you want to track.
  6. Click Save again.

Your Freemius credentials are in your Freemius dashboard under your developer account settings.

How Freemius payments are verified

When someone buys through the Freemius checkout, the browser tells Loggle a purchase happened. Loggle does not trust the amount it was told.

Instead it contacts the Freemius API directly, confirms the payment is real, and records the amount Freemius reports. A visitor cannot invent revenue in your reports.

Note: only products you have ticked are recorded. Payments for anything else are ignored.

Do I need to add code to my checkout?

No. Loggle detects the Freemius checkout and hooks into it automatically. A manual snippet still works if you have one — it lives behind the For developers link inside the Freemius section — and duplicate payments are filtered out, so you can safely have both.

Connect anything else

If your payments come from somewhere else — a custom form, a membership plugin, a different gateway — a developer can send them to Loggle with one line of PHP:

do_action( 'loggle_conversion', $args );

This records a payment against the current visitor. Ask your developer to look at Loggle’s documentation for the exact fields.

How a payment connects to a visit

Every payment is stored with the visitor who made it. Because the visitor cookie lasts 365 days, Loggle can connect a sale today to the visit that first brought that person to your site months ago.

That connection is the whole point of the plugin. It is what lets a channel report show money instead of clicks.

Common problems

Orders appear in WooCommerce but not in Loggle

Loggle records an order when payment completes, not when it is placed. Orders sitting in “pending” or “on hold” will not appear yet. Check the order status first.

The customer blocked cookies

If a buyer blocks cookies or clears them between visiting and buying, Loggle cannot connect the sale to a visit. The order still exists in WooCommerce; it simply has no channel attached. This affects every analytics tool, not just Loggle.

My revenue looks doubled

This should not happen. Loggle refuses duplicate payments at the database level using the order reference. If you genuinely see a doubled figure, check whether the same order exists twice in WooCommerce.

Freemius products will not load

Recheck your Developer ID and both keys for stray spaces. Products appear only after the credentials are saved — the card reminds you while keys are typed but not yet saved. If the settings page reports it cannot reach Freemius, your host may be blocking outgoing connections.

Frequently asked questions

Does Loggle store customer names or emails?

No. Loggle stores an anonymous visitor identifier, the amount, the currency, and a reference to the order. No personal details are copied out of WooCommerce.

Which currency is used?

Loggle records the currency your store sends. Amounts are stored as exact whole numbers of cents or pence, so totals never drift through rounding.

Can I track more than one payment source at once?

Yes. WooCommerce and Freemius can both feed the same reports.
